Citizen: Protect The World

Local alerts for people who want to know what is happening nearby

Citizen: Protect The World is a local safety and breaking-news app from Sp0n Inc. It focuses on nearby incidents rather than broad national headlines, with updates about reported crimes, fires and other emergencies. It suits anyone who wants a quick view of unfolding events around home, work or the places they regularly visit.

What you can follow

• Receive alerts about incidents in your area as they are reported.
• View events on a map to understand where they are in relation to you.
• Watch or share live video from incident locations when available.
• Check information about missing people and registered offenders.
• Use extra controls such as custom alert areas and police scanner access through optional Citizen Plus features.

A practical safety feed, not a general news reader

The app is built for checking what is happening close by, especially when a siren, emergency notification or developing incident raises questions. Location-based information can help users decide whether to avoid a street, delay a journey or simply keep track of a situation. The map can feel busy when several events are active, but that density reflects the app’s focus on immediate local information.
